With qualification no longer being an option, Ukraine and Cyprus return to the AEK Arena on Sunday 26th of May in order to close their campaign. The ‘’hosts’’ for today Ukraine, had an underwhelming performance in Cyprus thus far, and would love it if they can close with three points on their final match. As far as Cyprus goes, the improvement against Serbia was seen by everyone, but the massive difference is size and quality was obvious. Another good showing is the target for Cyprus and any points earned will be a success. Both teams are projected to have many changes today, but the question is whether or not Chrysis Michael will keep the 5-2-3 formation. Goalkeeper Panagi had a good showing against Serbia, but Papachralambous might get a chance in goal. Petoussis and Michalas will likely be the wing backs, with Skafi, Ioannou and Charalambous the 3 at the back. Chatzilefteri and captain Christoudoulou will likely be the two midfielders, while Vassiliou and Evangelou will support the goal scorer of the match against Serbia, Petros Ioannou. With the target and the goal to get some points of the board, it wouldn’t be surprising if Chrysis Michael decide to go in a more offensive formation but it is certain that the quality and physicality of the Ukrainians is much more than our young countrymen. As Chrysis Michael noted, he is proud of the performances and efforts of his team, but we would love it if they can get some points on the board. As always we are here in the AEK Arena to support our fellow Cypriots, and we hope for the best. PAME KYPROS! Post navigation THE JEFTE SAGA IS OVER UEFA EURO U17 – CYPRUS 0-2 UKRAINE
