Despite coming into the night already with a 4-0 advantage, Omonoia did not let up in the least. In fact, they won even bigger in finishing off Azerbaijani side Araz-Naxcivan 5-0 in Nicosia for a combined 9-0 aggregate. In doing so, Omonoia advance to the playoffs of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, where they will face Austrian side Wolfsberger.

Omonoia hosted Araz-Naxcivan in the return leg at the Stadio GSP in Nicosia. The party started in the ninth minute, as Stevan Jovetic got a shot off that hit the post, and Willy Semedo was there to collect the loose change, making it 1-0 for Omonoia.

14 minutes later, Semedo returned the favor by setting Jovetic up, passing to the veteran from Montenegro who did well to create some space for himself, and with a quick release, beat Cristian Avram to make it 2-0.

On the half hour mark, it became 3-0. Jovetic made a pass from the wing, which went all the way through the back, back outside the box to Giannis Masouras whose strike deflected off Ewandro Costa and past Avram, now 3-0.

In the last minute of stoppage time in the first half, Omonoia had already equaled their total from the leg in Azerbaijan. Jovetic found himself in way too much space and caught the Araz defenders ball watching, and Jovetic found Ewandro Costa for an easy goal, 4-0 for Omonoia at halftime.

Similar to last week, Henning Berg subbed out many of the starting lineup, but in the 79th minute, Mateusz Musialowski uncorked a strike that found its way into the top corner, absolutely no chance for Avram, 5-0 was the final score for Omonoia.
