The defendants in the case regarding APOEL Club’s outstanding debts to the Social Insurance Fund and other funds, amounting to €2.3 million, today pleaded guilty to the charges against them. Eight of the eleven defendants named in the indictment appeared before the court and admitted their guilt. The court scheduled the next hearing for July 2, 2025, at 09:00. The case concerns the non-payment of contributions to five funds: the Leave Fund, the Redundancy Fund, the Human Resource Development and Social Cohesion Fund, the General Health System, and the Social Insurance Fund. It is alleged that the football club withheld deductions for social insurance and other funds from employees but failed to transfer the amounts. The outstanding debts cover the period from 2020 to 2022. Post navigation Ministry of Education Considers Support Measures for Student Footballers
