Sofronis Avgousti has made his choices for Cyprus’s last two group stage matches of the 2024-2025 UEFA Nations League, and of the calendar year 2024. Cyprus will play at home to Lithuania on Friday in Larnaca, and then they close out their group play next week on Monday in Bucharest, visiting Romania. Cyprus have never lost to Lithuania in five previous meetings, having drawn them once, and winning the other four times, including earlier this year back in September. Cyprus have beaten Romania once, in February 2000, and drawn them three times, but otherwise have lost ten times to them in their previous 14 encounters.
