AEL 2–0 Olympiakos

AEL opened the new Protathlima season with a convincing 2–0 win over Olympiakos, led by a debut brace from Morgan Ferrier.

The English striker struck first after 21 minutes, heading in a cross from Sergio Conceição for a well-taken opener. He doubled his tally before half-time with a superb effort: after a long clearance from the Olympiakos goalkeeper was returned by Keller, Ferrier controlled with his back to goal, spun sharply, and fired home from 20 yards.

Olympiakos had the opportunity to pull one back when Victor Braga conceded a penalty, but the AEL goalkeeper redeemed himself immediately, diving to his right to save Da Silva’s spot-kick.

Head coach Paolo Tramezzani praised his side’s strong start, while acknowledging the competitive nature of the season ahead.

Aris 3–1 Apollon

Aris claimed the first derby of the campaign with a 3–1 victory over Apollon.

Connor Goldson opened the scoring just before the break, heading in from a Chambos corner. Two minutes into the second half, Jaden Montnor doubled the lead, finishing Mayambella’s low cross from close range.

Apollon reduced the deficit on 70 minutes when Gaétan Weissbeck scored with a powerful strike from the edge of the area. However, Aris sealed the win in stoppage time: with Apollon pushing forward and goalkeeper Leeuwenburgh joining the attack, Aris broke quickly. Chambos cleared, Correia released Gaustad, and the forward ran the length of the half before rolling the ball into the empty net.

Anorthosis 0–0 Omonoia Aradippou

Anorthosis and Omonoia Aradippou opened their seasons with a goalless draw at the Antonis Papadopoulos, replicating last year’s opening-day result.

The hosts thought they had taken the lead in the 35th minute, only for VAR to rule the goal out for offside. They continued to create the better chances, but visiting goalkeeper Kostić was outstanding, producing several key saves, including a superb stop to deny Da Silva’s header in the 71st minute.

Omonoia Aradippou almost stole victory deep into stoppage time when Mekaoui tested Panayi, but the Anorthosis goalkeeper preserved the point.

Krasava 1–2 APOEL

Krasava’s debut in the top flight ended in defeat as APOEL secured a 2–1 win at the Ammochostos Stadium.

APOEL struck early through Corbu, who converted after Marquinhos’ deflected shot fell kindly in the 14th minute. Sotiriou extended the lead on the hour mark, heading in Stafylidis’ free-kick.

Krasava responded 10 minutes from time when Christodoulou powered home a header from Do Coto’s delivery, but APOEL held firm to take all three points.

Ethnikos 0–0 Akritas

Ethnikos and Akritas shared the points in a goalless encounter that lacked clear chances.

The key moment came when Akritas midfielder Chris Kablan was dismissed in the second half for two bookable offences. Despite their numerical disadvantage, the visitors held on for a draw, with neither side able to create a decisive opening.
