AEK 0-0 Aberdeen

AEK Larnaca were held to a goalless draw against Aberdeen at the AEK Arena in their third League Phase fixture of the Europa Conference League. The result means AEK remain unbeaten with seven points but suffered their first dropped points of the campaign.

The Larnaca side dominated much of the match, creating several clear chances – most notably Milicevic hitting the woodwork on 40 minutes and Angielski heading wide deep into stoppage time.

AEK dictated the tempo throughout the first half, controlling possession and pressing Aberdeen’s defence, while goalkeeper Alomerović dealt comfortably with the visitors’ limited threats. The pattern continued after the break, with Pere Pons and Milicevic coming close before Aberdeen responded with a couple of late counterattacks, their best chance falling to Milanović in added time.

Despite failing to secure qualification on the night, AEK remain unbeaten, solid defensively, and in a strong position to progress to the next round.

Lausanne 1-1 Omonoia

Omonoia earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Switzerland after a dramatic and eventful evening that saw Francis Uzoho complete a remarkable turnaround.

The Nigerian goalkeeper endured a mixed night – initially at fault for Lausanne’s equaliser after allowing a deflected shot to beat him at his near post, before redeeming himself with a crucial penalty save in the 99th minute to secure a valuable point.

Earlier, Neophytou had given Omonoia a surprise lead with a well-taken header, and the Cypriot side posed a consistent threat on the counterattack while maintaining solid defensive organisation throughout.

Omonoia also had two goals disallowed – Eraković for offside and Chatzigiovanis following a foul by Diounkou in the buildup. Tensions flared at full time, as Lausanne’s players reacted angrily to Omonoia celebrations after Uzoho’s late heroics capped off a fiercely contested European encounter.
